How to Overcome Negative Emotions
I pay a lot of attention to the forums and discussion boards on the topic of “The Secret” Law of Attraction. If you haven’t read or heard about it yet, the Law of Attraction (recently popularized by the movie, The Secret) is an application of ancient Natural Laws that basically states that your thoughts and emotions create your reality.
So, if you want more money, or a car, or better health, or a relationship, then you just have to think the thoughts and feel the emotions of already having those things, and they will naturally come to you in time. Many people have been trying to use the Law of Attraction to create the things they want in life struggle with finding real results. In fact, one of the most common questions people have on the Law of Attraction forums and discussion boards is, “How do I get rid of negative thoughts and emotions?”
This question is important, of course, because once you realize that your thoughts and emotions create reality, then you also realize that when you have positive emotions you are creating a positive reality for yourself—and (conversely) when you have negative thoughts and emotions you are creating a negative reality for yourself.
But most of us experience negative thoughts and emotions so frequently…
The first thing we need to understand is what are our thoughts and emotions really? In reality, what we call our thoughts and emotions are really indicators of our level of vibration. Both modern physics and ancient laws also tell us that everything is vibrating energy. So our physical body is actually made of vibrating energy.
And the rate (or frequency) of the vibration of our body attracts thoughts and emotions at the same frequency. My teacher, Dr. Dario Salas Sommer explains that this works in the same way as a radio does: we both transmit and receive thoughts and emotions that are at the same frequency of our general vibration. Also, like a radio, we can tune ourselves to another radio station if we don’t like the thoughts and emotions we are attracting.
So, how do we overcome negative emotions?
We have to learn how to tune ourselves to another vibration—a vibration that attracts more positive thoughts and emotions. You don’t believe this?I have personally seen people suffering from sorrow and despair do a short exercise to change his or her vibration, and watched their thoughts or emotions completely change—to the point that he or she no longer feels the sorrow or despair.
It works every time when done properly. And you can do it too. Change your vibration to change your thoughts and emotions. And the key to changing your vibration is changing your level of energy using breathing, physical exercise, and other even more effective techniques.
The problem is that many of us are actually addicted to negative thoughts and emotions. If you saw the movie, What the Bleep Do We Know?!? (which I highly recommend), you saw a wonderful dramatization of how most of us are controlled by our addiction to our habitual emotions. So, we need to overcome our addiction to negative thoughts and emotions and re-tune ourselves to higher states of energy and vibration to experience more positive thoughts and emotions.
